About The Event
In the run-up to Harvest Festival, we’re delighted to invite the local community to get creative and join in our Scarecrow Competition.
From 1st to 11th September, transform your front garden into a mini attraction by creating and displaying your very own scarecrow. This year’s theme is TV characters, so whether you’re inspired by classic favourites or modern icons, it’s time to let your imagination run wild.
There’s a prize up for grabs in each age category:
5 to 8
9 to 11
12 and over
On Saturday 12th September, all scarecrows will come together for the grand finale in the church garden, where they’ll be displayed and voted on. You can drop off your scarecrow between 10:00am and 12:00pm on the day, ahead of the afternoon celebrations.
The fun really begins at 2:00pm, with games and refreshments for everyone to enjoy, followed by prize giving at 3:30pm.
Whether you’re entering the competition or simply coming along to admire the creativity, it promises to be a joyful community event. Gather your family, choose your favourite TV character, and get making - we can’t wait to see what you create!
So don’t forget to register your free entry, and we’ll provide a scarecrow frame to kick-start your creation.
